Experience:
Buta has been a member of the State Bars of Virginia (1993),
Maryland (1994) and New York (1994). In 1997, she was admitted to
the Bar for the Supreme Court of the United States. She maintains
membership with the American Association for Justice, Virginia Trial
Lawyers’ Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense
Lawyers, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the
Virginia College of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Virginia Women
Attorneys’ Association (founding member of the Loudoun Chapter), the
Loudoun County Bar Association, the Loudoun County Criminal Defense
Bar, and the George Mason American Inns of Court.
While attending her final years of law school, Buta interned for the
Office of the Public Defender for the City of Alexandria, Virginia.
Buta came to Leesburg in 1993 and opened the law firm of Biberaj &
O’Reilly, P.L.C. with her colleague and fellow GMUSL graduate,
Bernadette Rush O’Reilly. Biberaj & O’Reilly, P.L.C. was succeeded
by Biberaj, O’Reilly & Broderick, P.L.C., Biberaj & Associates,
P.C., and then to the present Biberaj & Snow, P.C.
From 2000 to 2002, Buta was a Senior Assistant to the Public
Defender for Loudoun County while still maintaining an active
private practice. There she represented clients against allegations
of criminal offenses ranging from traffic misdemeanors to serious felonies,
including DUI, juvenile delinquency, drug offenses, sexual assaults
and murder.
In May of 2004, Matthew P. Snow joined the firm as a named partner
of Biberaj & Snow, P.C. Buta and Matt combined their legal skills
and experience to offer high quality legal services in the defense
of criminal, DUI / DWI, and traffic offenses, personal injury, and
civil litigation.
